Liqo.io
I was involved in the Liqo project from the very beginning and played a crucial role in developing the architecture from scratch. Liqo is an open-source project (currently with over 700 stars on GitHub) that enables users to connect multiple Kubernetes clusters on different providers or tenants and share their resources, allowing the creation of multi-provider or on-premises to public cloud distributed applications.
Using Go programming language and the Kubebuilder framework, I implemented Kubernetes Operators and created new Kubernetes extensions with CRDs. I was specifically responsible for defining and implementing the mutual authentication process among the "virtual cluster" participants.
I had the opportunity to present the Liqo project at the first CNCF Turin Meetup, where I gave a talk about the project and demonstrated it live. As the project continued to grow, I took on a leadership role, coordinating development with other contributors and deploying pilots with leading Italian telecommunications and cloud companies.
